April 2008

  • Received 22nd April 2008 from Iraq

I am a serving soldier of the British Army and am writing to say Thank you very much for the parcel you sent.

The parcel I received was shared between my shift and myself. It was greatly appreciated as the smallest piece of morale goes a long way and puts a smile on a lot of soldiers' faces.

Thanks again from the crew our in Basra,
    Lcpl Jenna

  • Received 19th April 2008 from Iraq

Thank you very much for the presents. It has really uplifted my spirit as I was feeling a bit downcast and missing home. It is nice to know that there are people thinking about us whilst here in Iraq and it means a great deal to us.

The shower gel, body lotion and shampoo are extremely valuable and a nice luxury. I will be sharing the biscuits and sweets with my other colleagues and I am sure they are going to love them.

Thank you very much for the presents.

    God Bless and many thanks,
    Lily (CPL)

  • Received 10th April 2008 from Iraq

Today I was given a box, which really brightened up my day. In it were all the little things that you had so kindly sent to a female serving soldier in Iraq. I have been in Iraq now for 4 months and due to go home on June 15th, which I'm so looking forward to!

I think its something special when people like you put things together and think of us out here so far from home. We truly owe you a big thank you. I am more than looking forward to my return home.

    Very many thanks
    Kelly (Sgt)

  • Received 8th April 2008 from Afghanistan

On behalf of us including the dogs, I'd like to thank you very much for the parcel that you sent, it was received very well amongst us and it was raided pretty quickly.

Our unit which is 104 MWDSU has just arrived out here and taken over and it was nice to see that there are people back in the UK that are thinking about us and the dogs. For many in the unit this is their first operational tour, and for others, well we have been a couple of times, so your parcel made the new guys' day. That sounds like I'm creeping...he he.

Thank you from the Guys and Girls and the Dogs,
    Craig

  • Received 1st April 2008 from Basra, Iraq

Thank you very much for the box of goodies, my team made short work of them. The cuddly toy is now sitting as a mascot on one of our tanks ! The lads believe he's good luck!

Strange what highly trained soldiers will take to heart and believe in! My lads are rough and tough?...not all the time

    Thanks again,
    The guys,
    Basra
