Felbridge and Copthorne W.I Thank The Forces

Members of the Felbridge W.I collected a large amount of sweets, treats and Christmas goodies to be sent to British Forces serving in Afghanistan.
Sue visited the Felbridge W.I to find a huge array of lovely gifts for  our British Troops.

The collection started after Jean Blakeston the treasurer of the W.I group who meet at the Village Hall in Copthorne Road, met Sue on a stand in East Grinstead.
Jean bought a Thank The Forces pin badge and then decided to ask the members of the Felbridge W.I if they would like to collect Christmas treats our brave Forces Personel.
Thank you very much to the Felbridge and Copthorne W, I group for their generosity and support.

Sussex Police Property Fund Helping to Support Thank The Forces Charity

The Sussex Police Property Fund has recently donated £1,000 to a Hailsham based Charity called Thank The Forces, Registered Charity - 1126366.
Pc Liz Keenan DK125 is based in Hailsham, and attended the offices of Thank The Forces Charity at Swan Business Centre, Hailsham, Sussex.
Pc Keenan met with Charity founder Sue Smith and presented the £1,000 cheque from the property fund made payable to Thank The Forces Charity.

Chair of Trustees for Thank The Forces Charity, Sue Smith said

' This is such a large and generous donation to Thank The Forces Charity. The Charity exists solely on the goodwill of the public and as the sole Founder I am determined that money donated by the public, for the troops, must be spent on gifts for the troops and nothing more. That said, we are in desperate need of a colour photocopier to assist with promoting the Charity and also to print out our quarterly newsletter that is sent  out to our kind donors and supporters.
This cheque from the Sussex Police Property fund means we will be able to buy a colour copier and print out professional colour leaflets and posters that will inevitably produce more donors and supporters for the Charity.
I would like to thank Pc Keenan and all involved with the property fund project very much'
